Netflix has dropped the much-anticipated trailer of Killer Soup, the first Hindi Netflix original series of the year. This eight-episode crime comedy starring Manoj Bajpayee and Konkona Sensharma premises an exhilarating blend of genres.

Netflix’s Killer Soup starring Manoj Bajpayee, Konkona Sensharma will be released on January 11, 2024

Loosely inspired by a headline of a real incident in 2017, Killer Soup is brewing to make a killer upcoming Netflix series. The streaming giant gave the audience a tantalizing glimpse of Killer Soup with the release of its trailer. Described as “very, very loosely inspired by a news headline,” the series introduces an air of mystery and anticipation.

As soon as the viewers play the trailer, they will be hit with a whiff of nostalgia mixed with a sense of foul play. The 143-second trailer set against the timeless backdrop of AR Rahman’s classic “Tu Hi Re” offers subtle yet gripping glimpses of how Killer Soup will taste like.

Additionally, it shows cut-to-cut shots centered around Swathi Shetty (Konkona Sensharma). Described by the makers as an aspiring chef, harboring a secret desire for the world to savor her paya soup. Featuring along with her is Manoj Bajpayee in a double role as her husband and lover. All in all, the duo are literally partners in crime.

In a recent interview Manoj revealed, “For the first time in my career, I will be playing a double role, both starkly different from each other.” Furthermore, Konkona stated, “The trailer offers a glimpse into the quirky world we’ve created set against the background of a sleepy town.”

All in all, leaving fans wondering, “Will she or won’t she get caught, and will the soup boil over?”

So as the countdown to January 11 begins, Killer Soup is brewing to offer viewers a thrilling and unique experience.
